The beauty of the north-west highlands of Scotland can be appreciated on foot by taking to the hill tracks and coastal paths. But why not give your legs a rest and enjoy spectacular scenery from a very different perspective ... from the comfort of a sea kayak.
Learn to Sea Kayak days and multi-day courses are suited to complete beginners, where you will get to grips with the basic techniques of sea kayaking. You will receive highly personalised and professional tuition and enjoy being in a relaxed and friendly small-group environment. If you add in to all of this the possibility of seeing an array of marine life at close quarters, you will certainly be left with an unforgettable experience.
The day begins with kitting you out with your equipment and clothing. Go the FAQs page to see what we provide and what you need to bring. A little bit of time spent at this stage really makes a difference to your comfort and enjoyment during the day. Then, it's out onto the water for about four hours.
Once some basic skills have been mastered you will be guided on a coastal journey discovering scenery and landscapes few will experience .... secluded bays, coral beaches, islands and unobscured mountain views.
Bring your own packed lunch and we'll take a break on one of the many islands that fringe Plockton and if the tide is right, explore the coral and shell beaches. Multi-day courses will enable you to develop and broaden your skills as we introduce you to different environments at new locations on each day.
