At Sea Kayak Plockton we believe in giving people confidence, so that they can learn and develop paddling skills and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the Scottish Highlands from a totally different perspective. We also believe that Plockton is simply one of the best places to do this.
Plockton’s picturesque sheltered bays are ideal for learning and improving skills, which can then be put into practice around its offshore island archipelagos and more challenging waters of Loch Carron. For the more experienced kayaker we have easy access over the sea to Skye, only a 10 minute drive away.
Our team of fully qualified professional Sea Kayak Instructors will equip you with top quality gear and provide expert tuition. Your sea kayak experience will always include a guided journey, which means you get to experience panoramic views of the Isle of Skye, Applecross and Torridon mountains and reach coral beaches only accessible by boat. Wildlife is abundant and journeying by sea kayak will give you the special opportunity to explore the fascinating coastline and see seals, birds, porpoise and maybe the elusive otter.
At the end of your day out on the water, enjoy the delights of the beautiful village of Plockton. The hotels and restaurants are famous for their seafood, there’s a waterfront beer garden and live traditional music in the evenings.

We’re pleased to be offering our very popular St Kilda Sea Kayak Expedition for a fifth year running, and this year we have two trips scheduled. Demand is always extremely high so do get in touch sooner rather than later to secure your place. Also we have a St Kilda Gallery, which contains some stunning photos to whet your appetite!
This year, we have an Isle of Skye Expedition taking place over a long weekend, and another lasting for 5 days. Both are fairly early in the year to avoid the worst of the midges and take advantage of the usually good late spring weather. Both expeditions are fully catered, and wild camping as you travel. This is simply the best way to explore the island’s stunning coastline.
Finally, watch out for news on another exciting trip …. more details very soon!
