Scotland will always be his number one for sea kayaking. There is so much diversity in such a small area: from white sandy beaches and peaceful island archipelagos, to steep imposing cliffs and speedy tide races.
Andy loves the endurance side of sea kayaking, getting into the rhythm and seeing how far you can travel in a day, week or month. Being able to escape the crowds, accessing places normally very difficult to get to, and seeing marine life.
His most memorable Scottish day trip: Landing at the beautiful Kearvaig bothy next to Cape Wrath.
His most special wildlife encounter: dolphins illuminated by bioluminescence.
Number one place on his wish list: a crossing to and from St Kilda.
